Saint Francis Bird Feeder
With a bird on each arm, Saint Francis brings a note of peace to the home and garden. Its blend of resin and stone looks like antique carved wooden statuary, but it's as durable as stone.

The figure is 6" in diameter and 20" tall. It's a lovely outdoor ornament. Live birds will visit it, if you put a handful of bird seed in the small bowl.

At Birdwatching Dot Com we fell in love with this Saint Francis. We fixed ours to the top of one of the 4x4 posts that form our porch. It's a perfect fit as his base neatly covers the top of the post. There he seems to bless our entrance. When we had an ice storm in February, Saint Francis stood serenely through it all. (Here's our photo, taken while everything was still draped in ice.) By the way, Saint Francis came through in perfect conditon.

Although the resin material is extremely strong and durable, it is light weight. So please plan to anchor your Saint Francis to the spot where you place him. The statue is mostly hollow, with a hole in the base that you may wish to use to secure him. We drilled a second hole and attached an angle brace to the underside of the base, then fitted it to the post.

We think Saint Francis would be lovely in the garden, too, surrounded by flowers and living birds.
