Here's a great, compact, inexpensive, waterproof and nitrogen purged binocular from a Vortex Optics, a manufacturer we know and trust. The Vanquish is a nice little compact binocular that won't break the bank.

Because of the reverse Porro prism design, it has better optical quality than you get in roof prism binoculars in the same price range.

It has a wider field of view than the somewhat similar (but not waterproof) Eagle Optics Triumph. Rubber armoring helps protect the Vanquish from shocks and makes it easy to grip even when it's wet.
