Vortex MK 1 QR Digital Camera Adapter
The unique quick-release feature of the MK 1 digital camera adapter provides a hassle-free way to digiscope with a Vortex Skyline spotting scope and many point-and-shoot digital cameras.

Only when you're ready to digiscope do you need to make the final connection between scope and camera -- and that goes fast! Here's how you do it:

1. Attach MK 1 adapter ring (48mm) to the threaded eyepiece collar of the spotting scope and secure the eyepiece in place.
2. Slip MK 1 adapter tube over the eyepiece and thread onto the MK 1 adapter ring.
3. Secure MK 1 digital camera base to your point-and-shoot digital camera.

Take these steps at the beginning of the day, and you'll be set for digiscoping whenever you need the Skyline's extra magnification to capture a prized shot. In the mean time, however, you can continue viewing directly through your Skyline spotting scope and snap images through your digital camera as usual.

Note: Digital cameras with manual settings work best for digiscoping. If your digital point-and-shoot camera has an aperture priority setting, open the aperture wide open and capture the scene with a shutter speed of 1/125th second or faster for the best results.
