When we tested mid-priced spotting scopes, we tested the angled version of this scope. The angled version was wonderful for its moderate price, and this one should be optically identical. While we prefer and recommend the angled version, some people want the straight one, so we offer it here.

It gave a bright, beautiful picture, with an unusually small amount of chromatic aberration. And the fine details of the image stayed sharp even when we cranked the magnification up to 60 power.
