Pentax DCFWP II Binoculars 8x42
Before the new Pentax DCF WP came out in 1999, you had to spend a thousand dollars or more to get this kind of quality. This waterproof roof prism set a new standard in affordable, high-quality binoculars.

This 8x42 model is especially recommended for people who wear glasses while using binoculars. It offers close focus of 8.2 ft. and weight of 26.8 oz.

Although you can get slightly closer focus, lighter weight, and better resolution (at a slightly higher price) in Pentax's new DCF SP 8x43 binocular, this DCF WP remains an excellent buy. It is still available but will be discontinued by Pentax when present stocks are exhausted.
