Domke Birding Vest — Men's X-large — Black — CLOSEOUT

The Domke Vest is the most comfortable birding vest we've ever put on. Its neutral khaki color is 100% cotton, with 15 well-placed pockets. It will carry everything! Shoulders are padded and quilted, for comfortably carrying a tripod. Raised and padded collar provides additional comfort. For the top half of the back and around the armpits, the material is a sturdy cotton mesh, to keep you cool. Side vents also help ventilate and ease the fit.

Bellows-style cargo pockets hold field guides (even big ones like the full-sized Sibley). Behind the cargo pockets are hand warmer pockets. There's also a zippered pocket in the front. The back pockets would accommodate lunch or a lavish snack. Inside the front of vest are three hidden pockets. Plastic pouch to make a badge visible is attached with velcro and is easily removed.

A clear plastic pouch, used by press photographers for badges, is easily removed, as it is attached by Velcro. If you take off the clear pouch, there is still a breast pocket underneath it, which also seals with Velcro. There's also a small, vertical pocket on the right side of the back which is nice for carrying insect repellent or a slender water bottle.

This is a well-made garment, with a heavy duty, double-pull zipper, waist adjustment tabs, and a snap waist closer. An accessory ring in front may prove useful for attaching a favorite item such as a small flashlight.

The vest is pigment-dyed and pre-washed for good looks, comfort, and durability. And it's machine washable.
