FEATURES:
The pole is 2” square. It comes in 2 pieces for ease of handling. It is 14-feet tall. Made of high-tensile aluminum.
The rack comes with ground stake, top perch rods, hitch pins, rope winder, and hub with attached rope, eyebolt, and pulley.
The 12 horizontal arms are 3/8” round aluminum.
The hub lowers and raises smoothly, without turning, while you do nest checks. You can lift off the hub for easy nest check. Or you can pull a hitch pin to remove a single gourd.
The cord is 45 feet and made of long-lasting polyester rope. Glides provide for smooth raising and lowering.
The Troyer Vertical Gourds have the Conley II entrances, to protect against starling invasions and yet allow martins to enter comfortably. These gourds are 13 inches deep and also guard against raccoons and owls. Each Troyer Vertical Gourd has a wing entrapment guard to keep birds from getting caught in the entrance. And a traction runway to help martins get in easily. UV-procted polyethylene materials provide long life. The gourds slip on and off quickly and easily and anchor with stainless steel spring clips. No more hanging wires to twist and untwist!
The pole guard protects your martin babies from climbing predators who would like to eat the eggs and birds.
