Shrike

The Eagle Optics Shrike is an 8x42 roof prism. It's a great starting binocular, because it's easy to use. And it's the least expensive good binocular you can buy.

It is sturdily built. But if something goes wrong, even if it's the owner's fault (such as accidentally dropped, or burnt) Vortex Optics will repair or replace it for free.
