The new Trinovid 42 HD model is a popular classic, which Leica has enhanced by a sophisticated carrying system. Thanks to premium HD technology the robust and lightweight compact binoculars boast razor-sharp images and superior colour neutrality, and they are available with magnification factors of 8x and 10x. The high-traction rubber-armouring makes the binoculars incomparably resilient and offers perfect grip in any weather condition.
For the first time all Leica Trinovid HD models are supplied with an innovative carrying strap (“Adventure Strap”), which can also be used as a bag. That way the binoculars are perfectly protected and at the same time always at hand. Used as a bag this system is extremely robust, as it is made of water and dirt repellent neoprene. As a carrying strap it can be used in two different bino-harness functions and as a conventional carrying strap. Its protective function for the binoculars and the lenses is guaranteed in any type of use. In addition, the ergonomic design of the Trinovid allows a safe grip, a steady image as well as absolutely precise focusing.
Great construction details! A lightweight, sturdy, and corrosion-resistant magnesium alloy chassis makes this binocular light and easy to handle. The body is covered with a textured rubber armor that protects it from bumps and impacts while giving it a slip-resistant grip in cold or wet conditions.
Its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make it waterproof and submersible as well as fogproof when moving between extreme temperature fluctuations.
To make handling the Trinovid easier are tethered objective lens covers that flip down and out of the way for observing, plus an ocular rainguard that attaches to the strap. Leica also includes their Adventure Strap system, which is a unique harness system that can be configured multiple ways for easier carrying and handling, while also doubling as a soft carrying bag to protect the binocular when not in use.
The first binoculars of the Trinovid family were built in 1958. The name stands for “three novel innovations” (Tri Novi): ergonomic construction, true internal focusing and superior optical performance. With meticulous attention to detail and the constant aim for better performance, the Trinovid has been continually improved. Currently, the Trinovid models are available as full-size and compact binoculars
