Vanguard Orros 8x25 Binocular

This is the binocular we've been looking for, especially for kids. Even a small child can see through both eyes at once, because the two barrels will come very close together. We are thrilled to finally have a decent, affordable binocular for kids!

But not just for kids. It's good anyone who wants an inexpensive, very small and compact binocular. It has good optical quality. It is exceptionally comfortable in the hand. This is one of the least expensive good quality binoculars you can buy.

The one caution is that this binocular does not work well for a person who wears glasses while using binoculars. Glasses wearers might want to check out the Eagle Optics Shrike.

FEATURES

Thanks to the offset hinge the two barrels will come very close together, allowing even a person with close-set eyes or a small child to see through both barrels at the same time. (Most binoculars don't work for kids because the eyepieces are just too far apart.)

The hinge and focus knob are asymmetrically positioned to the left side, allowing the choice of a relaxed, natural, index finger reach from the right or a shorter reach from the left.

The eye relief of 12.5 mm is too short for glasses wearers. However, if you don't wear glasses while using binoculars, this won't matter one bit.

Lightweight and compact, it is quite manageable for a child. Also fine for travel.
