WHY THE SF IS SO GREAT
Billed as the worlds best birding and wildlife observation binocular, the Zeiss Victory SF binocular sets new standards in ergonomics and optical performance. This high-end binocular is designed specifically for birdwatchers and other nature observers. Superlative for optical quality (sharp, bright, color-true). With a new balance point that makes it feel lighter and extra comfortable in the hand.
"Ultra-FL" Lens System
Zeiss engineers have created a new lens system, which is the optical core of the binocular, with two fluoride Schott glass lenses, providing the high light transmission rate and the amazing image quality. But superb optics are only the beginning of what makes this a great binocular.
Comfort View
The 10x32 Victory SF gives you a wide
390-foot, field of view at 1000 yards. This is wider than what the 10x
42 model provides.
ErgoBalance
Did you ever have to stop looking for a bird because you just couldn't hold up the binocular any longer? Well, that won't happen as often or as soon with the Zeiss Victory SF. The reason is in the way it balances.
You'll notice that the binocular has its balance point much closer to the eyepieces than other binoculars. The result of this engineering achievement is that when you hold the binocular, it seems to tip back toward your eye sockets, rather than tipping forward. You don't have to push up on the end to keep it balanced! As a result, you can hold the binocular and look through it longer. Your hands and arms don't get as tired. You can even hold your Victory SF easily with one hand.
"SF" for Smart Focus
Look where that focus knob is! It's pretty close to the middle of the length of the binocular. Not up by the eyepieces, where other binoculars place their focus knobs. When you're holding the binocular, the focus knob is already right there, under your index finger. You don't have to reach over to the side to turn the focus knob. As a result, you can effortlessly keep focusing with your index finger, without tension, for as long as you still have something you want to watch and keep in focus.
The knob itself is designed not to slip under your finger, even when it's wet. And it focuses fast, so you can quickly go from looking at the soaring hawk to the sparrow on the ground by your feet. We also love how close you can actually focus this binocular. The minimum distance varies from person to person, depending on their eyes, but it's about 6.4 feet. Great for butterfly watching as well as birding.
Bridge Design
A revolutionary triple-link bridge makes for an extraordinarily stable binocular, with great resistance to getting out of alignment. The bridge is open, allowing for an easy one-handed grip around either barrel, but the two barrels are connected in three places!
