Swarovski has come out with a completely new design in spotting scopes. The photo shows the 95mm Modular Objective attached to the Modular Ocular, which is sold separately.

In Swarovski's cutting-edge new modular scope design, the 95mm Modular Objective when used with the Modular Ocular provides a high-powered scope with a zoom range of 30 to 70x power. We tested this model and found that because of its excellent optics and its 70x potential, it resolves more detail than most other scopes.

This combination of Modular Ocular and 95mm Modular Objective gives the scope a zoom range of 30-70x magnification. What makes the increased magnification possible is the new design, in which the eyepiece is part of the scope and does not have to attach to the body by a bayonet mount.

Easy-to-change modular components make transporting the scope simple since you can store the objective and ocular parts separately. The two pieces, disasembled, make a shorter, more compact package than conventional scopes where you have a small eyepiece and a long body.

The focus knob is a ring around the body of the scope. And in a brilliant innovation by Swarovski, the zoom ring is close to the focus ring, around the middle of the scope. This means you can adjust the zoom without moving your hand back up to the eyepiece. And because the zoom ring turns a little stiffer than the focus ring, you can tell by feel which ring you are on.

Swarovski implements the finest optical technology to provide virtually images with razor-sharp clarity. Improved coating technology and HD lenses set new standards for brilliance and image definition and guarantee optimum contrast in low light situations. Field Flattener lenses create a flat image with razor-sharp details from edge to edge.

Construction

Angled body design lets users of different heights share the scope without changing the legs of the tripod. The angled design also makes it easier to look upward or to use the scope from a car window.

Strong, magnesium body stands up to hard use and resists corrosion.

Rubber armoring provides pleasant tactile experience and a secure, non-slip grip.

Rotating tripod ring lets you turn the scope "in its waistband" to either side.

Waterproof optics are sealed with O-rings to prevent moisture, dust, and debris from getting inside the spotting scope.

Fogproof barrel is filled with nitrogen gas to inhibit internal fogging.

Swaroclean lens coating repels oil and dirt on all external glass surfaces.
